Prince Rama “Trust Now” (2011)

October 8, 2011

The fresh album by Prince Rama (now a duo of sisters Nimai and Taraka Larson) sounds exactly as you’d imagine it to sound. Tribal drums, cult chants and an overall aura of spookiness are like 99% of Trust Now. The problem is this record is too serious. Surely, this is music for connoisseurs but even they might find these 6 tracks too much to digest. My advice is that next time Prince Rama should simply shorten the songs’ length by half. And put some light into this very shrine in which they are praying.

hydrameter: 2/5

Key Tracks: Golden Silence, Rest In Peace
